Aman Gupta is an Indian entrepreneur, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of the popular audio electronics brand boAt. He is also known for being one of the "sharks" (investors) on the Indian reality show Shark Tank India.

Early life and education-

Born in 1982 in Delhi, India, Gupta comes from a middle-class family. He completed his schooling at Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University. Despite his father's suggestion to become a Chartered Accountant (CA), Gupta's entrepreneurial spirit led him to pursue an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Indian School of Business. He further honed his business acumen by completing another MBA in General Management and Marketing from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in the United States.

Career

Gupta's professional journey began with a stint as an Assistant Manager at Citibank. He then co-founded Advanced Telemedia Pvt. Ltd., where he served as CEO. After gaining valuable experience in sales and marketing, he worked as a Senior Management Consultant at KPMG and later as the India Sales Director at Harman International, a Samsung subsidiary.

In 2016, Gupta co-founded boAt, along with Sameer Mehta, with the vision of offering stylish and high-performance audio products at affordable prices. The brand quickly gained popularity for its trendy designs, innovative features, and value for money, becoming a leading player in the Indian audio market. Under Gupta's leadership as CMO, boAt has established itself as a lifestyle brand, resonating with young consumers through its marketing campaigns and collaborations with celebrities.

Shark Tank India

In 2021, Gupta joined the panel of investors on Shark Tank India, a reality show where entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a group of potential investors (sharks). Gupta's business expertise, combined with his charismatic personality, made him a popular figure on the show, further boosting his profile and inspiring aspiring entrepreneurs.
